The Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition (GVCC) is obliged to comment on recent actions by persons to unilaterally mark Victoria’s streets with Sharrows (shared lane arrows). As a cycling advocacy group which promotes safe and lawful cycling practices, the GVCC acknowledges that Sharrows are a successful method of alerting all road users that the road is a shared space.

The Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition (GVCC) welcomes the planned replacement of the Johnson Street Bridge (Bridge), a facility that greatly underserves cyclists - considering their numbers and the latent demand for a better crossing.
