The latest section of the E&N Rail Trail – Humpback Connector should be opening soon, closing a key gap through Esquimalt & Songhees Nations. While the trail has been built & open in both Esquimalt and View Royal for several years, this gap remained as discussions continued with First Nations over privacy concerns.

In a week of new bridges (the JSB opened yesterday), the new Galloping Goose Regional Trail bridge over McKenzie interchange opened as well.
